How long have you been serving here, and what are your primary responsibilities?
I stepped into the role of lead pastor at Sarasota Community Church in July 2026. My primary responsibilities include guiding our spiritual growth, casting vision for our ministry, and connecting with our wonderful community.
What is your calling or passion for ministry or church service?
My calling and passion for ministry are rooted in Jesus and informed by the Holy Spirit’s leading, along with a lifelong dedication to shepherding. I am focused on guiding and caring for our congregation through faithful preaching and leadership, helping individuals and communities grow spiritually and live out God's love together.
What Bible verse or passage has been especially meaningful?
Psalm 46; Ephesians 2:1–10; Colossians 1:15–23; Psalm 139; and 1 Peter 5:2.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Sherrie, and being with my kids—going to the beach, watching sports, and taking walks and hikes. I like pickleball, cooking, and working in the yard.
What do you most appreciate about this church family?
As a newcomer to SCC, I most appreciate the genuine warmth, grace, and true fellowship among the people in this church family. I love how our church supports one another through life's seasons, grows together in faith, and welcomes everyone with open arms.
